trade
Definition: Type of occupation generally requiring one to three years of postsecondary study in a college or university, two to four years in an apprenticeship program, two to three years of on-the-job training, or a combination of these three types of training. In Quebec, certain trades require specific training in vocational and technical training centres managed by school boards. A licence or certificate may be required to practise the trade.
